Vučević said that it is necessary to work on strengthening the Western Balkans and joining the EU, so that we are not forgotten in this geopolitical division.
He expressed his belief that the countries of the Western Balkans must be valued in accordance with all the reforms implemented, and reminded that North Macedonia undertook difficult reforms, which is something that should be valued.
The Prime Minister stated that a commission for economic cooperation between the two countries should be formed, which he discussed with Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirović, in order to speed up the process.
According to him, the two countries expect cooperation in connection with the interconnector for the supply of energy, as well as work on unique software that will allow citizens not to linger at border crossings, as well as reduce congestion.
Serbia is interested in cooperation in all segments that are important for the Western Balkans, Vučević pointed out and reiterated that the most important thing is to preserve peace in these areas.
Stoilković conveyed to the Prime Minister the invitation of Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski to visit that country at the end of September or the beginning of October.
He stated that at the meeting with Vucevic, there was talk of the participation of the economy of North Macedonia in the carrying out of the Expo 2027 exhibition on the one hand, and opening the possibility to present the Macedonian economy as well as possible at this event, on the other hand.
According to him, it is a very important segment of regional development, on which North Macedonia will build its policy in the future.
Stoilković expressed his gratitude to Ministers Tomislav Momirović and Goran Vesić, for their quick reaction regarding Corridor 10 and the functioning of the railway in the best possible way.
North Macedonia, as he explained, intends to join Corridor 10 from Thessaloniki via Skopje, Belgrade, Budapest to Austria, which is a key project that the new government of this country will work on in cooperation with Serbia.
Stoilković expressed his gratitude to Vučević for showing great respect and interest in building good and friendly relations with North Macedonia, as well as for the help that Serbia provided to North Macedonia in some of the most critical situations, such as the procurement of vaccines during the corona virus crisis and firefighting.
