Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić spoke today with Ambassador of Italy in Belgrade Luca Gori about the further improvement of police cooperation between the two countries.
At the meeting, the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fight against organised crime, terrorism and illegal migration was emphasized, as well as the modalities of future cooperation, which would entail establishing joint patrols during the tourist season.
Dačić and Gori assessed that practice has shown that the establishment of such patrols contributes to increased security in popular tourist destinations, but also to better coordination between the police forces of the two countries.
Gori expressed satisfaction with the results of joint work so far, as well as Italy’s willingness to continue providing support to Serbia in the field of internal affairs and the fight against crime.
