The Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management stated today that the Serbian government has brought a Decision on declaring a state of emergency over floods in the municipalities of Secanj, Negotin, Veliko Gradiste, Smederevo, Pozarevac and Golubac, because of the danger posed by floods amidst severe weather conditions.

Under the state of emergency over floods the flood defence services will use expert teams equipped with mechanisation in the upcoming days, and engage in all necessary activities, works and measures for minimising consequences of the major threat posed by floods in affected areas, reads the statement.
