Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Giulio Tremonti.
On that occasion, Đurić pointed out that Italy is one of Serbia’s strategic partners, and one of our most important economic partners, and that we expect further growth in cooperation, both in the exchange of goods and services, and in terms of investments.
He expressed his gratitude to Italy for the support it provides to Serbia in the process of European integration and EU expansion to the Western Balkans.
The Minister pointed out that the government of Serbia is pursuing a responsive policy, the goal of which is to preserve peace and stability in the region.
When it comes to the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština, Đurić pointed out that our side has a constructive role, but that it constantly faces the unilateral moves of the temporary Priština institutions.
The head of Serbian diplomacy reminded that Priština did not implement what was agreed eleven years ago by the First Brussels Agreement, as well as that basic human rights of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are threatened, according to a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
