Bearing in mind the occurrence of floods in Serbia, the government today amended the Decision on the formation of the Coordinating body for elimination of consequences of landslides in Serbia, by activating this body for the clean-up of consequences of floods as well.
Head of the Coordinating body is Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic, and the members are Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ivana Dulic-Markovic, Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo, Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic, Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic and Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov.
Members of the Coordinating body will also be Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of Defence Zoran Stankovic, who attended today's government session, as well as Serbian Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic.
The government also brought a decision on the use of 98 million dinars from the state budget for landslide-stricken areas. The funds have been approved to the cities of Nis and Kragujevac, and to the municipalities Majdanpek, Ljubovija, Bajina Basta, Ljig, Koceljeva, Ub, Valjevo, Cacak, Kraljevo, Lucani, Novi Pazar and Leskovac.
