Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begović signed today a Memorandum of Understanding between that Ministry and the company Medtronic Serbia, which relates to cooperation within the BIO4 campus.
Begović pointed out that for the scientific ecosystem of Serbia, the signing of this memorandum is a great success, because Medtronic is one of the largest American companies in the field of medicine and the development of medical devices.
She stated that this is a company that has been operating since 1949 and has been introducing innovations, from pacemakers and diabetes treatment, to the latest devices that help people with a damaged nervous system through neurostimulation.
Such companies, which employ almost 100,000 people, more than 12,000 scientists and invest almost three billion dollars annually in research and development, are extremely important for Serbia, because they see our country as a partner and as a creative place with a large number of talents, she said.
On behalf of the company Medtronic Srbija d.o.o. the memorandum of understanding was signed by Anna Kasprzak, the company's vice president for Central and Eastern Europe, and Majid Kaddoumi, the company's senior vice president for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
