Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin who is on a multi-day official visit to the Russian Federation, met in Moscow with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Grushko.
On that occasion, Vulin pointed out that Russia is a sincere friend of Serbia and the Serbian people, and sent a request to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey his gratitude to the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergey Lavrov, for supporting Serbia in the United Nations General Assembly and voting against the resolution on Srebrenica.
He said that Serbia greatly values the principled and consistent support of the Russian Federation in preserving our territorial integrity and national interests, as well as unconditional respect for Resolution 1244, which was adopted on this day in 1999.
Today, Vulin also met with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu and expressed satisfaction that the two countries will continue cooperation and partnership in the field of security.
