President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar attended today a ceremony of handing over employment contracts to the best graduates of medical faculties and secondary medical schools in Serbia.
Addressing the graduates at the Palace of Serbia, Vučić pointed out that the state invests a lot of money in the healthcare system and will invest much more because healthcare, together with pharmaceutical industry, is one of the pillars of the development of our society and the survival of the country.
As part of the "Employment Programme for the Most Successful Graduates of Faculties of Medicine and Secondary Medical Schools", launched by the Ministry of Health in 2018, a total of 3,641 healthcare workers (doctors and nurses/technicians) were employed, who will form the backbone of our healthcare in the coming years.
