Memorandum on cooperation between health ministries of Serbia, Russia signed

Minister of Health Danica Grujicic and Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today, which will strengthen the relations between the health systems of the two countries and open up space for new forms of cooperation.

Grujicic stated that the Memorandum includes various directions of cooperation, the most important of which is the exchange of experiences in the field of oncology, children's health and cardiology.

She said that experts from Serbia visited Russia to participate in meetings related to public health, prevention of infectious diseases, improvement of results in the treatment of prematurely born babies, and that they were amazed by the way Russian experts work.

Grujicic added that some organizational matters from the Russian health care system should be implemented in our system, which the Ministry of Health will work on intensively.

Murashko explained that the goal of the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Health of Russia is to exchange experiences with Serbia in the field of technology and health protection, in order to extend human life span.

The pandemic has taught us that communication between countries is important. Our goal is to work on the sustainability of healthcare, to work out the introduction of new treatment methods and technologies for therapy, he said.
