Serbian Assistant Minister of Interior and Inspector General of the Serbian Ministry of Interior (MUP) Vladimir Bozovic, who is currently on an official visit to Hungary, today met with Hungarian Head of Department of Internal Control of the Police Ferenc Frankberger. The two officials discussed further advancement of cooperation between the two internal police control departments.
The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated that Frankberger thanked Bozovic on his contribution in founding the Regional Forum of Internal Police Control Departments for Central Europe, which took place last year in Budapest. Frankberger briefed Bozovic on the preparations for this year's forum, scheduled for mid May in Bucharest.
Bozovic presented to his host the results achieved by the Serbian Inspectorate General and pointed out that further cooperation between the two police forces should be improved through education, exchange of experts and professional experience.
On March 23, Bozovic will hold a lecture on fighting corruption in the Serbian police to the participants in the FBI's International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest. The conference will be attended by Romanian, Hungarian and Serbia-Montenegrin experts, reads the statement.
