At today's meeting, the government of the Republic of Serbia decided, at the proposal of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, to grant Serbian citizenship to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and his wife Janet Kay Wozniak.
The government also adopted the Decree on establishing the Programme of Support for the Improvement of the Development of Extremely Underdeveloped Municipalities (local self-government units from the fourth group) for the year 2024, whose level of development is below 60% of the national average.
The goal of this project is the construction and reconstruction of communal infrastructure, the construction, reconstruction and adaptation of facilities in the fields of education, health, tourism, social protection, culture, sports and water management and equipping these facilities, as well as other facilities owned by local self-government units.
At the session, a Conclusion was adopted on the agreement to provide funds from unspent funds from privatization from previous years for the payment of rights in the field of family and child protection, social protection and support for the work of foster parents.
Funds in the amount of RSD 5,000,000,000 will be distributed among the programmes of social protection and family legal protection of citizens, while RSD 229,000,000 will be transferred to institutions in the field of social protection.
The government has decided to provide financial assistance to the National Sports Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired from Belgrade in the amount of 15 million dinars.
At the session, a Conclusion was adopted on the adoption of the Program on Changes to the Programme for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment, which will enable the Ministry of Economy to publish a third call for applications for loans secured by the Fund's guarantee and participation in free training conducted by the Implementation Partner, and the call will be closed when the number of 500 new candidates is reached.
The government also adopted a Conclusion on the agreement with the purchase of Directive no. 25 of 27 March 1941, by which German Chancellor Adolf Hitler issued an order to attack the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of Greece.
The government also approved the Decision on the establishment of cooperation between the City of Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia and the City of Wusan, Republic of Korea, on the basis of equality, and within the legal, financial and technical capabilities of both cities.
