The government also promised to provide 42 million dinars from the budgetary reserves for 205 employees of the underground exploitation company to cover their unpaid contributions for the pension fund.
The government adopted a Decree on terms and the use of funds for subsidising mineral fertilisers in 2006 and a Decree on terms and the use of funds for subsidising diesel fuel for the needs of agriculture in 2006.
In a session today, the government passed a Bill on granting counter-guarantees of the Republic of Serbia to the state union of Serbia-Montenegro for a loan from the International Development Association (IDA).
The government has also adopted decrees on distribution and the use of subsidies for preservation and sustainable use of vegetable genetic resources for food and agriculture as well as the use of vegetable genetic resources for domestic animals in 2006.
Also, a Decree on protection and development of forests for 2006 was adopted as well as a Decree on air quality control programme for 2006 and 2007.
The government adopted a Decree on principles of internal organisation and job classification in government’s ministries, special organisations and services.
A Decision on the number of first year students for the 2006/07 school year in universities and post-secondary schools founded by the Republic of Serbia was also made today.
The decisions on free zones Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sabac, Sremska Mitrovica, Sombor, Kovin, Vladicin Han, Prahovo, Labovo and Slobeks-ko in Sid were annulled.
The government accepted the Decision of Radio-Television of Serbia (RTS) on balance of payment on the date of December 31, 2005 and also approved RTS’ business management plan for 2006.
The government gave its approval to business plans of national parks Kopaonik and Fruska Gora for 2006.
The government also accepted a Rule Book on the base for obligatory healthcare insurance.
A Decision on initiating a public tender for consultancy services of a privatisation advisor for the telecommunication sector was accepted as well. The procedure will be carried out by the Privatisation Agency. Bids may be submitted until March 21, 2006 whereas the deadline for the contract is April 15, 2006.
