Government adopts amendments to Decree on vulnerable energy customers

At today's meeting the government adopted amendments to the Decree on energy vulnerable customers, which will enable a greater number of citizens to receive discounts on electricity, gas or heating.

Pensioners who have an electricity supply contract and whose pension does not exceed RSD 21,766.26 will have the right to an additional bill reduction in the amount of RSD 1,000 during the heating season.

Government members adopted the Decree on the method and procedure for waste management of construction and demolition waste, which for the first time prescribes the method of managing waste generated during construction and demolition work, adaptations, renovations, reconstruction of buildings, construction, maintenance and replacement of infrastructure facilities, as well as excavations for residential, industrial and road infrastructure.

At the meeting, the amended Decree on establishing a plan for the reduction of packaging waste for the period from 2020 to 2024 was adopted, which aims to improve the management of municipal packaging waste and encourage the development of infrastructure for the separate collection of packaging waste from households and the service sector, small shops and hospitality sector.

The government adopted the Decree on the detailed conditions, criteria and standards for determining the one-stop shop, as well as the method of cooperation between competent authorities regarding procedures and tasks at the one-stop shop in order to facilitate further development and adaptation of the legal framework due to the dynamic nature of this area and the challenges that arise in practice.

In order to prevent major disruptions and preserve the living standards of the population, and bearing in mind that the oil derivatives market is still unstable, the Serbian government has extended the period of validity of the price limit for this derivative until 30 November 2023.

The government made a decision to declare the protection of the area with exceptional characteristics called "Potamisje", which encompasses a total of seventeen villages in this region.

At today's meeting, a decision was made to grant the status of a cultural monument to the hydroelectric power plants "Sicevo" in the village of Sicevo near Nis and "Vucje" in Vucje near Leskovac, as well as the Church of the Holy Transfiguration in Ljubovija.
