At today's session the Serbian government adopted a Bill on amendments to the Law on the organisation of courts and passed a Decree on establishing a correctional facility.
The Serbian government adopted three bills on issuing counter guarantees to the state union of Serbia-Montenegro regarding three loans granted by the International Development Association (IDA): the second loan for structural adjustment and a loan for structural adjustment of the economy in Serbia and a loan for the development of the state union's private and financial sectors.
It also adopted the Strategy for encouraging and developing foreign investment.
The government passed a Decree on the costs of compulsory disinfection of motor vehicles on entering Serbia. According to the decision on measures for preventing the spread of the bird flu virus, disinfection is a compulsory procedure for all motor vehicles entering Serbia at border and administrative crossings.
The government also decided on the use of funds for compensating damage caused by severe weather conditions. It approved 80 million dinars in non-repayable assistance for 19 municipalities.
The government approved the 2006 work schedule of the public company The Official Gazette and the 2006 work schedule of the Serbian Pension and Disability Insurance Fund for the self-employed.
At its session, the government approved the initiative for starting the privatisation process of the radio and television station Cuprija from Cuprija. It also adopted the decision on establishing cooperation between the municipality of Novi Becej and the Slovakian town of Sturovo.
