The Serbian government adopted today the Regulation on establishing a state programme for assistance and reconstruction of destroyed family residential buildings owned by citizens due to the effects of floods in May and June 2023.
Based on the records of the local self-government units, included in the Decision on the declaration of natural disaster in the territory of 56 local self-government units, according to the preliminary data collected so far, it was determined that 20 family residential buildings were classified into the sixth category of damage, in accordance with the Instruction on a unified methodology of assessment of damage caused by natural disasters.
Therefore, it is necessary to provide specific help to the vulnerable population in the form of allocation of non-repayable funds. To solve this problem, the government has allocated RSD 70,000,000.
The government also adopted the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy for the Improvement of the Position of Persons with Disabilities in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2020 to 2024, in the period from 2023 to 2024, which specifies all the measures and activities that will be undertaken in the said period.
At the session, the Conclusion was also adopted on the consent for the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves to purchase up to 200,000 tons of mercantile wheat in the year 2023.
Mercantile wheat will be purchased at a price of RSD 25 per kilogram, excluding VAT, and the purchase will be made through the mediation of Produktna berza ad Novi Sad, with which the Directorate will conclude a special contract.
This measure was adopted with regard to balance sheet needs and achieving a strategic level of mercantile wheat stocks, as well as assistance to primary agricultural production. The estimated funds for the realisation of this Conclusion amount to RSD 5,506,600,000.
