The Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia announced today that the government of Serbia adopted the Migration Profile of the Republic of Serbia for 2022, which combines data on all categories of migrants, as well as a description and analysis of the overall state of migration in the country.

The Migration Profile, created by this commission, seeks to identify and analyse key challenges in the field of migration and presents an overall overview of migration statistics and migration policies in the country, in order to provide comprehensive insight into the state of migration to the actors involved in migration management and to the general public.
Migrant categories are classified in accordance with Regulation 862/2007 of the European Parliament and the Council of 11 July 2007 on Community Statistics on Migration and International Protection.
Creation of the Migration Profile and its regular updating was Serbia’s obligation from the Visa Liberalisation Roadmap, but also a specific goal of the Migration Management Strategy, and our country has been creating it independently since 2010.
