Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic, whom she welcomed to Subotica.
In a meeting with the Prime Minister of Croatia, who is in Serbia on the occasion of the opening of the Croatian House in Subotica, Brnabic pointed out that relations between Serbia and Croatia are extremely important, given the importance of the two countries in this part of Europe.
Serbia recognises the need to improve overall relations with Croatia, with mutual respect, understanding and consideration of common needs and interests.
It is important that we start with the intensification of dialogue and visits, which will contribute to creating a climate for talks, building trust and getting closer to resolving the open issues of our two countries, which will certainly contribute to improving the position of Serbs in Croatia and Croats in Serbia, she stressed.
Plenkovic expressed the view that the opening of the Croatian House in Subotica is an important step forward for the Croatian minority in Serbia and that the role of Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia Anja Simpraga and Serbian Minister of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Tomislav Zigmanov contributed to the improvement of bilateral relations and their current dynamics.
