During the meeting with Director of the Institute Academician Professor Milovan Bojić, MD, DSc, the results of the work to date, current development projects, as well as priorities for further strengthening the capacity of this reference healthcare institution were discussed.
The importance of continuous investment in healthcare institutions, the application of the most modern treatment methods and the creation of conditions for the further progress of the healthcare system, in the interest of all citizens of Serbia, was emphasised.
Macut spoke with young doctors who successfully completed the internal education programme at the Institute, as well as with five doctors who will continue their professional training in the People’s Republic of China.
Bojić presented the Prime Minister with the Charter for Outstanding Contribution to the Work and Development of the Dedinje Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases.
The Prime Minister pointed out that this institute has been one of the pillars of Serbian healthcare for decades and a place where the boundaries of the medical profession are being pushed.
He particularly highlighted its great success – performing a complex cardiac surgical procedure, which, as he stated, once again confirmed that this institute is among the best health centres in the world.
