Prime Minister Ana Brnabic presided over the constituent session of the Commission for Capital Investments today, announcing that the focus of work in the new convocation will be work on improving the legal framework, strengthening the powers and role of the Commission for Capital Investments on local and provincial level, as well as project sustainability and “green” budgeting.

At the meeting, it was said that through the PIMIS information system, since June of this year, it has been possible to enter all data, which ensures the monitoring of the implementation of projects in electronic form, and which will facilitate the overview of the implementation process and adequate monitoring.
Out of a total of 160 capital projects monitored by the Commission, eight have been implemented, 32 are of special importance for the Republic of Serbia, 94 are in the implementation phase, while 58 projects are in the pre-implementation phase.
The Ministry of Finance will manage an integrated database of capital projects in order to monitor their implementation.
