Economic, trade cooperation between Serbia, Azerbaijan to be strengthened

Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Nikola Selakovic said today, after the 7^th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Trade Cooperation of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Palace of Serbia, that the political relations of the two countries are at an extremely high level.

Selakovic pointed out that Azerbaijan is a sincere and loyal friend of Serbia and shows its sincerity through concrete actions.

The Minister also reminded that the Council for Strategic Partnership between the two countries was formed last year and added that a high level of political and friendly relations should be accompanied by strong economic and trade cooperation.

Babayev pointed out that the cooperation on the political level is extremely good, strong and successful, but that he expects it to further develop on the economic level as well, expressing great expectations from today's business forum at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Belgrade.

As one of the ways to improve cooperation between the two countries, Selakovic and Babayev mentioned the introduction of direct flights between Belgrade and Baku in the coming period, which, according to them, will contribute to better communication in the business community and increase the scope of trade and economic cooperation.

After the plenary part, the ministers signed the Protocol on conclusions from the 7^th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation between the two countries.
