MUP denies allegations that it abolished secretariats in Kosovo-Metohija

The Serbian Ministry of Interior (MUP) denied today public allegations that with a recently adopted decree on the internal organisation of MUP, it abolished secretariats in Kosovo-Metohija.
The statement says that in fact the opposite is true because this decree envisages the creation of a coordinating administration for Kosovo-Metohija, which is proof of additional concern about the current situation in the province. The decree therefore proposes supplementary measures to the existing organisational solutions for this territory, and not reductions.
MUP points out that arbitrary interpretation of the decree and the police law only disturbs the public unnecessarily and harms state interests.
