Inspector General of the Serbian Ministry of Interior (MUP) Vladimir Bozovic, who is on a several-day visit to the US, visited the FBI, where he talked with directors of the Department for International Special Operations, the Department for Organised Crime and the Office of Professional Responsibility.
According to the statement of the Serbian government at the FBI National Academy Bozovic talked with heads of international cooperation and special training programmes.
One of the issues discussed at the meeting was the prospect of training Serbian police staff and the cooperation of the Serbian police with the Academy in Budapest. Bozovic was extended an invitation to hold lectures at the Academy in Budapest in March on the fight against corruption, the statement says.
Bozovic informed his collocutors on the continuation of police reforms through the implementation of the new Law on Police, as well as with the, role, jurisdiction and results achieved by the Inspectorate General.
Bozovic will today talk with representatives of the US Congress. He will also take part in the National Prayer Breakfast.
