Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy to introduce new model of professional development

The Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy stated today that a new model of professional development will soon be introduced in Serbia as part of a project financed by the World Bank and the UK Government Department for International Development.
The Ministry statement says that Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic will officially open the Centre for Training the Ministry Employees next week. The Centre will enable better communication between the Ministry employees and citizens and provide easier flow of information important to a number of citizens who use the Ministry's various services, such as the employment programme, social and family care and rights of the child, pensioners and disabled persons.
The Centre's most important task will be to oversee and note the kind of skills and knowledge the Ministry employees need to perform their duties better, as well as to enable them to acquire new skills and knowledge.
The opening of the Centre is the first instance of the implementation of an overall model of employee training in Serbia, projected in line with European standards, concludes the statement.
