First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic expressed his deepest condolences last night to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Eli Cohen over the victims of the terrorist attack in the synagogue in Jerusalem.
"We are horrified by the terrorist attack on innocent people, Serbia sympathises with the people of Israel and with the families of the dead. Shooting people in a synagogue, while they are praying, is an unprecedented cruelty that must be condemned by the whole world.
This terrorist attack was committed on a day when the whole world remembers the victims of the Holocaust with the greatest respect, which makes today's great tragedy even greater.
Serbia remains a consistent fighter against terrorism, because it is the duty of all of us who belong to the peaceful world. I send my sincere condolences to you, Mr. Minister, and to the people of Israel, and I wish a speedy recovery to those injured in today's attack", reads the message of condolences of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.
