Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali spoke today with Minister of Finance of Montenegro Aleksandar Damjanovic about the possibilities for improving economic cooperation between the two countries.
Mali talked with Damjanovic, who is on a two-day visit to Belgrade, about joint infrastructure projects, primarily in road and rail traffic.
The topic of discussion was the construction of the highway connecting Serbia and Montenegro, as well as the reconstruction of the Belgrade-Bar railway.
Experiences in the implementation of eFiscalization, as well as eInvoices, were exchanged, whereby the Montenegrin Minister of Finance pointed out that his country is also planning the introduction of the Electronic Invoicing System and that it is a realistic assessment that this system will start to be implemented in Montenegro by the end of the current year or the beginning of 2024.
The ministers of finance also discussed the numerous challenges of the current global crisis and the possibilities of a joint response of the region in order to overcome the crisis as easily as possible, as well as the supply of the regional market with basic foodstuffs and energy supplies.
Foreign direct investments, gray economy and efforts to preserve economic parameters in difficult years were also discussed, according to the statement of the Ministry of Finance.
