Vice Governor of Serbia's Central Bank arrested on suspicion of taking bribes

The Serbian Ministry of Interior stated today that Vice Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Dejan Simic has been arrested on suspicion of accepting bribes in the amount of €100,000.
The statement goes on to say that Simic was detained after having been interviewed in the presence of his lawyer and the prosecutor. Criminal charges will be pressed against him and the case will be submitted to the investigating judge of the Belgrade District Court.
