Minister of Environmental Protection Irena Vujovic signed today with representative of the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation and Leader of the Regional Team for Asia and Latin America Basel Jounan an annex to the agreement on ORIO programme, on the basis of which the Dutch government will donate €7.6 million for the project of construction of the missing sewer network in Leskovac.

The Serbian government and the relevant ministry will also set aside €10 million from a credit line of the Council of Europe Development Bank.
The governments of Serbia and the Netherlands will jointly finance the construction of 78 kilometres of the new sewer network and this investment will enable Leskovac to be completely covered by a sewer network.
Vujovic expressed gratitude to the Dutch government on the donation and support in the construction of green infrastructure in Serbia and explained that owing to this project, 16 suburbs, with approximately 20,000 inhabitants, will get connected to the sewer network.
