The Ministry of the Interior stated that on the basis of the Law on Public Gatherings, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, it decided not to allow the walk of the participants of EuroPride 2022, nor the family walk organised by Anti-globalists in Belgrade on Saturday, 17 September.

After making a security assessment, it was determined that there is a high risk that the safety of the participants of both walks on the announced routes would be endangered, as well as the safety of other citizens.
Bearing in mind that, according to the applications, both walks should be held in the immediate vicinity, one as part of the EuroPride 2022 event and the other organised by citizens whose views are opposite to those of members of the LGBT population, and who openly express their opposition to EuroPride 2022, it was estimated that there is a risk of attacks and conflicts, as well as the risk of violence, destruction of property and other forms of disruption of public order on a larger scale, according to the statement of the Ministry.
