The Serbian Environmental Protection Directorate, in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) from Geneva, is organising a seminar dedicated to the implementation of the convention. The seminar is being held at the Belgrade's Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies from May 4 to 6.
Head of the Environmental Protection Directorate Miroslav Nikcevic opened the seminar, whose aim is education, increased control and prevention of illegal trade in endangered species on border crossings of Serbia and Montenegro.
The seminar will be attended by 50 participants from the country and abroad, and lectures will be given by representatives of proper governmental institutions from the republics of Serbia and Montenegro.
