Measure of support to companies hit by Ukrainian crisis adopted

At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Conclusion on Annex 2 of the Basic Agreement on the Guarantee of the Republic of Serbia for Lending to the Economy Due to Prolonged Negative Impact of the SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 Pandemic, as Assistance to Domestic Enterprises Whose Operations are Directed at the Markets of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

It is about support for approximately 1,400 companies, which will have the opportunity to use the second guarantee scheme to refinance the obligations from the first guarantee scheme. Banks have been enabled to conclude an annex to the agreement by which loan users will be able to refinance obligations from the first guarantee scheme, in order to improve their repayment capacity.

So far, the state has set aside a total of about €8.8 billion to help the economy and citizens, and one of the measures was the adoption of the Decree on determining the guarantee scheme. Banks have been enabled to invest up to €2 billion through the realisation of loans, and since not all funds have been used, the deadline for concluding a loan agreement has been extended.

The state recognised the need to approve an additional €500 million in aid, in order to maintain liquidity, and thus the total amount of funds placed through the first guarantee scheme reached €2.5 billion. At the same time, the deadline for issuing loans has been extended to 31 July 2022.

The government also adopted the Decree on the temporary measure of limiting the price of gas and compensating for differences in the price of natural gas procured from imports or produced in the Republic of Serbia in the event of disturbances on the natural gas market.

At the session, the Decree on Energy Management System Bonds – SEM was adopted, which expanded the scope of the Energy Management System Taxpayers. This decree determines in more detail the criteria on the basis of which SEM taxpayers are determined, namely local self-government units and city municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants, other bodies and organisations of Serbia, especially taking into account the area and type of facilities they use.

As of today, by the decisions of Government members, six churches have received the status of cultural monuments. These are the Church of the Holy Archangel Gabriel in Sopic, the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God in Radljevo, the Church of the Archangel Gabriel in Cvetanovac, the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Mark in Varna, the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael in Jabucje and the Church of the Holy Archangel Gabriel in Moravci.
