Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic stated today during the talks with US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill that our country is firmly committed to substantial communication with the American administration and building a lasting partnership with the United States.

Selakovic underlined that our country is very interested in improving economic cooperation with the United States and expressed satisfaction with the presence of many American companies in Serbia.
The Minister said that preserving stability in the region and improving good-neighbourly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation is a foundation and unchanging starting point of our foreign policy, noting that the US support to regional initiatives is of great importance.
Selakovic said that in relations with all countries we are trying to put focus on the development of economic cooperation and mentioned the “Open Balkans” initiative as a successful example.
The two officials also discussed the recent visit of US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried, the situation in the region and dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
