At today’s session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decree on Amendments to the Decree on Limiting the Price of Petroleum Products, which will be in force until 30 April.
The decree was passed with the aim of preventing major disturbances on the market and preserving the living standard of the population.
At the session, the Decision on amending the Decision on temporary reduction of the amount of excise duties on oil derivatives was passed, which extends the validity of the reduced excise duty on certain derivatives (leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline and gas oils) until 30 April.
The decision was made in order to preserve macroeconomic stability and uninterrupted supply of the market, and having in mind the fact that in the previous period there was an increase in producer prices of certain derivatives due to rising crude oil prices on the world market.
The government also adopted the Decision on the use of funds from the current budget reserve, which approves funds to the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the total amount of RSD 300,000,000 for the implementation of sports development programs, improvement of sports systems and capacity building of sports federations.
The session also adopted a Conclusion approving the export of mercantile wheat and mercantile corn to legal entities that export these products to the Republic of North Macedonia on the basis of agreements concluded before the entry into force of the Decision on temporary ban on exports of basic agri-food products.
This conclusion enables the performance of already agreed business arrangements between companies from Serbia and the region.
This will not cause disturbances in the functioning of the domestic agri-food sector, nor endanger the food security of the population, and will contribute to building trust and maintaining good trade relations in the region.
