Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge signed today a two-year Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Health and the WHO.
The Agreement will cover immunisation, mental health, antimicrobial resistance, digitalisation in health care and chronic non-contagious diseases, with implicit support for recovery from the effects caused by the covid pandemic.
Loncar expressed gratitude to Kluge for his sincere and wholehearted support and pointed out that the agreed cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the WHO will give a significant contribution to the further strengthening and development of the health system of Serbia.
The WHO Director highlighted the significant progress and stability of Serbia’s health system during the global health crisis caused by the pandemic and voiced hope that the continuation of cooperation through the Agreement signed will be of great benefit to the citizens of Serbia, reads a statement by the Ministry of Health.
