Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic visited the mine in which the accident occurred and expressed her condolences to the families of the dead miners.

The inspection service, police and all competent bodies are on the spot and are doing everything that is necessary to find out what exactly caused this tragedy, she underlined.
Director of Public Enterprise for Underground Coal Exploitation "Resavica" Sasa Spasic said that the accident in the pit of the "Soko" mine occurred shortly after 4 am in the part of the mine deposit of the eastern field during the third shift, in the course of regular works on coal exploitation.
