Minister of the Interior Aleksandar Vulin talked today with Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Karl Nehammer as part of his official visit to Serbia.
Vulin underlined that Serbia, headed by President Aleksandar Vucic, is dedicated to preserving peace and stability in entire Western Balkans and that Serbia is the pillar of that stability.
During the meeting, Vulin and Nehammer referred to the very successful cooperation of the police departments of Serbia and Austria, which has been reinforced with their constructive meetings and joint projects that were realised while Chancellor Nehammer held the position of federal minister of the interior.
The two officials confirmed once again the importance of strategic partnership between the two countries when it comes to the migrant crisis and reiterated their common stance that Serbia and Austria will not be parking for migrants.
Vulin pointed out that the Republic of Serbia is ready to respond properly to all challenges and consequences of the current crisis in Ukraine, according to a statement of the Ministry of the Interior.
