Serbian government entrusts Thomas Fleiner with position of negotiating team’s advisor

The Serbian government appointed Professor Thomas Fleiner to the position of Standing Advisor in the government’s negotiating team for talks on Kosovo-Metohija. The government has been guided by the professor, who is an exceptional and internationally renowned expert.
The government unanimously and with complete confidence in Thomas Fleiner chose him to be the team’s advisor, and on this occasion it underlined its opinion of Professor Fleiner.
More than a month ago, the Serbian President was acquainted with the initiative to make Professor Fleiner member of the Serbian team. The President has not had any objections to the government’s choice.
Inappropriate and tactless statements concerning the professor are viewed as harmful and gratuitous by the Serbian government. Such statements bear no influence on the government’s previously made decision that Professor Fleiner be appointed the Standing Advisor of the Serbian negotiating team.
