At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted a Conclusion on the need to form working groups to monitor the situation on the economic and financial market and a stable, continuous supply of food and energy.
Due to the global disturbance in the natural gas market and the sharp jump in the price of this energy source throughout Europe, and in order to ensure security of supply of the Serbian market and protect the economy and citizens who use this energy source, the government adopted a decree on differences in the price of natural gas procured from imports or produced in the Republic of Serbia in the event of disturbances in the natural gas market.
The regulation aims to eliminate the consequences of the jump in the price of natural gas as a way to mitigate the consequences of the energy crisis in order to ensure a normal supply of all consumers with this energy source.
Therefore, it was necessary to provide energy entities, which perform the activity of natural gas supply and wholesale supply, with the right to compensation for the difference in the price of natural gas purchased from imports and the price of natural gas used for calculating the price for resale to suppliers, public suppliers and end customers for November 2021.
At today's session, the government appointed Miroslav Tomasevic as the acting director of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia.
Also, the Conclusion on the consent to initiate the procedure for applying the Republic of Serbia for membership in the European Social Research of the European Consortium of Research Infrastructures was adopted.
The government of Serbia also adopted the Decree amending the Decree on distribution of incentives in agriculture and rural development in 2022, in order to enable users to exercise the right to incentives as soon as possible.
The government adopted a Conclusion on determining the basis for concluding the Agreement between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the Republic of Angola on mutual abolition of visas for diplomatic and official passports, which is an important step towards creating more favourable conditions for further political relations and bilateral cooperation.
