Serbia-Montenegro’s delegation to the twelfth session of the Commission of Sustainable Development, led by Director of the Serbian Administration for Environmental Protection Miroslav Nikcevic, held a series of meetings with representatives of environmental protection ministries of developed countries.
The delegation met with a Japanese delegation and discussed ways to expand cooperation as well as Japan’s assistance in tackling environmental problems in Serbia-Montenegro.
At a meeting with representatives of the Italian ministry for environmental protection, it was agreed that representatives of the Italian ministry hold a presentation of their capacities in environmental protection in Belgrade on May 12. They will also present possible forms of cooperation with Serbia-Montenegrin organisations.
The Italians also expressed readiness to help improve the environment around the Pancevo industrial complex and to mediate between this company and potential Italian business partners.
Bulgarian Minister of Environmental Protection invited Serbian Minister of Science and Environmental Protection Aleksandar Popovic visit Bulgaria so as to define a programme for cooperation between the two countries in this field.
