The Prime Minister said that this jubilee is very important and that it will be marked by a series of events during next year, as appropriate to such a big jubilee.
The committee established the programme of the celebration activities, which will include the holding of a formal academy, scientific meetings and panels, exhibitions, and a series of educational activities, release of publications, cooperation with foreign associations bearing the name of the great scientist, the launching of a website and a series of other activities.
The programme envisages a number of joint activities with Croatia.
The committee adopted its rules of procedure and brought a decision that a special account for financing the jubilee should be opened.
The committee members include President of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts Nikola Hajdin, President of the Matica Srpska Bozidar Kovacek, representatives of the Nikola Tesla and Mihajlo Pupin institutes, the Nikola Tesla Museum, the Nikola Tesla Society, the Serbian Association of Inventors, the University of Nis, the Belgrade Faculty of Electrical Engineering, competent ministries of the Serbian government, the Belgrade City Assembly, and of several of the most important public companies.
