Government adopts bill on banks

Belgrade, 10 November 2005

The Serbian government adopted at its session today the Bill on banks and the Report on the work of the National Corporation for Housing Loan Insurance from January 1 to June 30, 2005.

The government adopted the Decision on amendments to the Decision on the type, amount and means of payment of clearance fees.

The Decision on opening border crossings with FRY Macedonia, which stipulates the opening of road border crossings at Trgoviste-Ogut, Goles-Golema Crcorija, and Miratovac-Lojane. Crossings at Strezovce-Sopot and Slavujevac-Perovac were passed over.

The government abolished the Decision on the manner of reporting contagious diseases, because the Law on protection of population from contagious diseases prescribes mandatory reporting of such diseases.

The government approved the initiatives for launching privatisation of the public company of radio television and newspapers of Vrnjacka Banja and the public information company Novi Put from Jagodina.

The government approved amendments to the Statute of the Serbian Institute for Health Insurance and the amendments to the Statute of the public forest company Srbijasume Beograd.

The Decision on establishing cooperation between the Zemun Municipal Assembly and the city of Corfu, Greece, was approved.

The government adopted the Information on the CARDS Twinning programme of the government's EU Integration Office.

The government also approved the Information on the participation of a Serbian delegation at the second forum of ministers of health called "Health and economic development of southeastern Europe in the 21st century," to be held from November 25 to 26 in Skopje.

The government approved the Information on the need for concluding an agreement on cooperation between the Serbian Ministry of Justice and the French Supreme Notary Council in the incorporation of the public notary system in the Serbian judiciary system.
