Serbia’s arguments for talks on future status of Kosovo-Metohija irrefutable

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today in a statement to radio-television B92 that Serbia’s arguments for talks on the future status of Kosovo-Metohija are irrefutable, because they represent the principles upon which rest international order, peace and stability.

Kostunica said that any kind of imposed solution or severing of a part of Serbia’s territory is unimaginable. He added that now the most important step is to create as soon as possible national and state unity in the Serbian parliament for the known principles according to which the future status of the province must be resolved.
Kostunica said that achieving unity will defeat any expectation that Kosovo-Metohija can gain conditional independence and he recalled that the international community has sent a clear message that there will be no imposed solution, which means that mainly Serbia holds the destiny of Kosovo-Metohija in its own hands.
