Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojsa Stefanovic and UK Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace laid wreaths this morning at the Commonwealth Military Cemetery and near the Memorial Ossuary of the Defenders of Belgrade 1914-1918.
Stefanovic and Wallace, paying tribute to Serbian and British soldiers who lost their lives fighting together during the two world wars, reminded of the alliance and strong historical ties between Serbia and the United Kingdom.
Today, in the afternoon, they will attend the Day of High Officials at the exercise "Platinum Wolf 2021" in the base "South" near Bujanovac, in which, along with the Serbian Army, members of the armed forces of 10 partner countries are participating.
