Serbian government adopts an Information on infectious avian-flu

The Serbian government, at its session today, adopted an Information on the infectious avian-flu disease (known also to the public as bird-flu). In addition, a Decree was passed on expenditures for obligatory disinfection of vehicles entering Serbia.

The Information on avian-flu states that measures will be enforced with the aim preventing its appearance, or, if it becomes an epidemic, limiting the spread and controlling the disease. The manner, time period and means of implementing these measures will be in accordance with the Law on the protection of public health from infectious diseases, the Law on health care and the Action Plan of the Serbian government before and during an avian-flu pandemic.

The Decree on expenditures for obligatory disinfection of vehicles entering Serbia has been passed in accordance with the Order to take measures for prevention of the appearance and spread of the infectious avian-flu, which envisages that one of the measures is the disinfection of vehicles.

The government also passed a Decree at its session on amendments and additions to the Decree on the manner and procedure of the sale of bank shares that are in the ownership of the Republic of Serbia, or in the ownership of banks currently in the recievership procedure, in which the function of the bankruptcy trustee is being performed by the Agency for Deposit Insurance, Rehabilitation, Bankruptcy and Liquidation of Banks.

Consent was given at the session on the initiative for beginning the privatisation procedure of the society “Famfarm”, from Krusevac, which is in the business of manufacturing and distributing medicines and medical equipment.

The government has adopted an Information on concluding a memorandum on trade-economic, scientific-technological and cultural cooperation between the Serbian government and the government of the Moscow areas of the Russian Federation.

A Decision has also been brought on the use of funds from current budget reserves, according to which the National Council of the ethnic Macedonian community has been allocated a sum of 3.2 million dinars for financing regular activities.

A Decision has also been brought on the use of funds from the current budget reserves, according to which the use of a sum of 8 million dinars has been approved for the participation of the government in financing the reconstruction of and addition to the building of the depot of films of the Yugoslavian Cinema.
