The agency for licensing trustees in bankruptcy proceedings stated that Deputy Minister of Economy Zora Simovic delivered another 40 licenses today, bringing the number of licensed trustees in Serbia to 100.
The first examination for bankruptcy trustees was held on July 15 this year and it marked the beginning of the enforcement of the Law on Bankruptcy. After this exam, 168 candidates met the qualifications for the licence, reads the statement.
The first licences were issued on September 21 and the same date marked the beginning of a three-month legal grace period, after which no one without certification will be able perform the duties of bankruptcy trustees in Serbia. Another examination has been scheduled for October 29, for which more than 300 candidates have applied, the statement concludes.
