Serbian Deputy Minister of International Economic Relations Vlatko Sekulovic and his team talked today with the representatives of parliaments, and non-governmental organisations of Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina on issues concerning the implementation of the Agreement on Free Trade, improvement in visa restrictions and the possibility of growth in trade exchange between countries of the region.
A statement issued by the Ministry of International Economic Relations reads that the collective conclusion of all the participants of the meeting was that this is a big step forward on the path of improving regional cooperation.
The aim of the meeting is the continuation of the project: “Legislatures and Citizens: strengthening democratic institutions in countries of the West Balkans (2004-2007)”. The first cycle of the project took place in the period from 2001-2004 within the framework of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe and under the working title of the project, “Parliament and Civil Society in South Eastern Europe”.
