Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic attended today in the Gracanica monastery a memorial service for the victims of the March pogrom, and after that he laid flowers in front of an art installation dedicated to the missing persons.

Petkovic pointed out that for 17 years no one has been held responsible for the March pogrom in which innocent people died only because they were Serbs, saying that we must remember 17 March because that day has long been attached to the collective memory of our martyrdom from Jadovno, Jasenovac to the NATO aggression.
We mark all those days and events and we are not ashamed of our victims and to say that they suffered at the hands of insane individuals just because they were Serbs, the Director of the Office underlined.
President of the Serbian government’s Commission for Missing Persons Veljko Odalovic pointed to the importance of such gatherings in places where Serbs were killed.
