At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decree on determining the Programme of subsidies to support the work of the hospitality and tourism industry due to business difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic caused by SARS-COV-2 virus.

Bearing in mind that tourism is an extremely important branch of the national economy and has a significant contribution to the total gross domestic product, the government of Serbia set aside RSD 1,980,000,000 as a measure to support the survival and development of this branch of the economy.
With these funds, in the next ten days, another minimum salary will be paid to employees in the catering, hotel, travel and car rental agencies.
The cabinet also adopted the decision to pay one-time assistance to pensioners in the amount of RSD 5,000 in the next two weeks. More than 1.7 million pensioners will receive this help from the state, for which RSD 8.6 billion has been provided.
