Total expenditures and expenses for the procurement of non-financial assets of the budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2019 amount to RSD 1,296,181,714,173 and the budget surplus amounts to RSD 32,178,264,759.
The proposed legal solutions envisage expenditures for repayment of the principal, in order to implement public policies, in the amount of a total of RSD 10,787,995,157 and expenditures for the acquisition of financial assets, in order to implement public policies in the amount of a total of RSD 7,993,191,846.
Fiscal surplus amounts to RSD 13,397,077,756. During 2019, the share of public debt in GDP at the central level of government decreased from 53.7 percent, which was at the end of 2018 to 52 percent.
The main type of borrowing in 2019 was the issue of government securities on the domestic and international financial market, according to the text of the proposed law.
The government has appointed Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali as the new national coordinator for cooperation between the Republic of Serbia within the Mechanism of Cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
