Prime Minister Ana Brnabic attended this morning, together with President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic the opening of the largest shopping centre in the region, "Belgrade Gallery", within Belgrade Waterfront.
On that occasion, Vucic pointed out that with the opening of the "Gallery", Serbia got the best and most beautiful shopping mall in Southeast Europe, in which, when all the bars are filled, approximately 5,000 people will work.
He stated that 1,600 workers worked on the construction of the shopping centre every day, and he pointed out that the entire project will contribute to the country's GDP with 0.3 percent, which means that it will have a significant impact on our economy.
The President, emphasising that a large number of tenants are already present, said that the president of the company "Eagle Hills", Mohamed Alabar, would personally negotiate for the arrival of the "Louis Vuitton" brand, which would mean a lot for attracting guests from the region.
The shopping mall is a growing place, Vucic added and expressed the expectation that "Belgrade Gallery" will be completely filled in the next six months, when the situation stabilizes due to the pandemic.
The solemn ceremony was also attended by Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, Mayor of Belgrade Zoran Radojicic, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic and President of the company "Eagle Hills" Mohamed Alabar.
The mentioned shopping centre is the largest in the region, since it has 300,000 square meters of total area, 93,000 square meters of space for rent and 3,600 parking spaces, while 20 percent of the total area is intended for restaurants and cafes.
