The Serbian government stated today that the application of employers for participation in the “My First Salary” programme has ended and that more than 10,000 companies applied and announced 17,000 positions for 28,000 jobs.
Due to a great interest of employers for this programme, the start of the application period for young people who are looking for their first job has been postponed to 8 October.
A careful verification of the fulfilment of conditions by companies for participation in the programme is currently underway, as well as a specialist definition of all positions. Over 70 percent of positions announced by the companies are for candidates with a high school diploma. The employers who announced the open job positions are from the entire Serbia, from various industries and company sizes.
After establishing a final list of companies and positions for which candidates can apply, a call for application of interested candidates will be opened on 8 October.
We highlight that for the needs of application of companies, announcing of positions and the application of job seekers, a single portal has been created at which companies and job seekers can submit all the necessary documents electronically, via the portal Moja prva plata, without needing to submit anything in paper.
This programme, in which the state will invest RSD 2 billion, will give an opportunity to 10,000 young people to obtain work experience and potentially find a job.
